October 2nd, 2006...

We’ve had some questions about the suggested attire for the wedding.

So, we’ve developed a dress code.

First off, no hats or t-shirts with profanity on them.

OK, that’s about it!

So, here’s the deal. Friday is a bbq, and circus, and totally casual. You’ll be fine in anything. Do note that the weather on the coast is often cool, so do prepare for that. Could be sunny too, prepare for that. BBQ can be messy, prepare for that. Alcohol will be served, prepare for that. But, pretty much anything goes. I’ll be in shorts or Jeans and a hawaiian shirt. That’ll be on the dressy side. Syd’s got jeans and a new shirt from Mervins. There you go. Our usual high standards.

Saturday, still pretty casual. Sydnee, as is the bride’s prerogative, has a nice dress. Our respective maid of honor and best man will be in a dress, and a tie respectively. The best man will probably wear a shirt and pants as well. And, they might mix it up too, we just don’t know yet!

I’ll be in jeans, button down shirt, and a tie. I expect to be the best dressed man there, so guys dress accordingly. Sydnee expects to be the best dressed woman, so ladies, anything you’d wear to a restaurant where they come and take your order right there at the table is fancy enough for Saturday.

And, flat, comfortable does that can handle a little dirt are mandatory both days. If it ends up being wet, due to fog or other moisture, the ground will be yucky. You have been warned.
